Founded and operated by Shannon Tanner, mom of two, Orlando Stroller Rentals was founded for one reason: to serve families on vacation. Why We Are Orlando's Longest-Running Stroller Rental Company
Planning a theme park trip with small children takes a lot of extra thought, and the stroller is the piece that makes or breaks the day. Orlando Stroller Rentals has been solving that one problem since 2008. We are the longest-operating stroller-only rental company that delivers to guests of Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando, and we are still doing it every single day.
Our story started the way most of our customers' trips do: a family in the parks, dragging a stroller through an airport, then settling for the bulky rental models inside the gates and handing them back at the exit each night. We could not find a company that understood what families actually needed, so we built one.
Strollers only, on purpose
We do not rent scooters, wheelchairs or mobility equipment. That focus is the whole point. Every hour we have goes into a fleet of parent-trusted brands like BOB, Joovy and Strolee, a cleaning and safety inspection before each rental, and a delivery process tuned to the resort you are staying at. Meet Shannon Tanner, Our Founder
A life-long fan of the Orlando area theme parks, Shannon and her husband enjoyed sharing the theme park magic with their daughter and son on family trips to Orlando from their home in Connecticut. When the children turned five and six, the family left the stroller behind. Big mistake. They immediately realized the kids needed a shady place to recharge when they got tired.
The family rented a stroller in the parks. That was a great solution, until they decided to return to their hotel. They had to leave the stroller at the park when they left, and Shannon's husband Justin had to carry their five-year-old all the way back to the hotel and the six-year-old dragged his feet. They repeated this experience for the next three days of their vacation. Finally Shannon and Justin decided there had to be a better way.
Shannon left her long career in elementary education and founded Orlando Stroller Rentals in 2008 to give parents an easy, convenient way to enjoy all of the parks and the entire Orlando experience with their children. She wanted every family to have the opportunity to have a clean, safe stroller all the time, not just inside a theme park.
As the business grows, Shannon's dedication to vacationing parents still drives the business goals to this very day. She personally leads the white glove cleaning process that every stroller must pass. As a Mom and former teacher, she makes sure that she would be comfortable putting her children in every stroller Orlando Stroller Rentals rents.
